Learn to draw in a creative environment where kids are encouraged to learn and cultivate their skills. NatureSketch teaches and instils artistic principles and skills, and encourages kids to learn about nature. NatureSketch is beginner friendly, no experience needed, but is rewarding to kids of all skill levels.
This 6-week Junior NatureSketch course is taught by Vida Akef, who teaches art fundamentals such as line drawing, understanding shapes and shading techniques, with a fresh and fun approach that will encourage budding artists to create beautiful nature sketches. Each week the class will focus on a different animal or plant, learn about them and then learn to draw them. By the end of the class, kids will understand the basics of value, texture, light, and shadow, understand that everything is made of basic shapes, and learn how to draw from a reference.
At the end of the program students have the opportunity to submit their art to be put up in the NatureSketch Gallery.
Instructor will email students with finalised details a few days prior to the beginning of the class.
Registration closes 5 days prior to the first day of class.
