Turtle Doves are small light grey birds with beautiful plumage with gold-laced wing feathers and silver ringed necks. The beautiful birds are associated with the winter holidays and made in the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas”.
In this family workshop, taught by illustrator and artist Val Lawton, we draw a turtle dove together. This class encourages children, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, the whole family to draw the turtle dove.
We will learn a bit about the turtle dove, and also how to draw in with the humblest and mightiest of tools, the pencil, paper, and eraser!
At the end of the program students have the opportunity to submit their art to be put up in the NatureSketch Gallery.
Instructor will email students with finalised details a few days prior to the beginning of the class.
All online classes can be watched later if you cannot make the times listed! Instructors are also available by email for individual critiques or questions outside of class time.
Registration closes 5 days prior to the first day of class.
