Turtle Doves are the perfect subject to inspire any artist. They are small light grey birds with beautiful plumage, gold-laced wing feathers, and silver-ringed necks. These beautiful birds have become symbols of the winter holidays and are part of traditional Christmas songs like “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
Join us for a family drawing workshop taught by illustrator and artist Val Lawton, who will help you capture the spirit of these birds. You’ll also learn more about the turtle dove and its ecosystem.
At the end of the program, students have the opportunity to submit their artwork to be displayed in our NatureSketch Gallery.
The instructor will email students the final details a few days before the beginning of the class.
All online classes can be watched later if you cannot make the times listed! Instructors are also available by email for individual critiques or questions outside of class time.
Registration closes 5 days prior to the first day of class.
