The Macaw, famous for its brilliant colours and long tail, is an ideal subject for a watercolour painting. This class is a beginner friendly workshop that teaches students the techniques for painting something as vibrant and colourful as the body and feathers of a Macaw.
Taught by art teacher and Doctor of Art Philosophy Vida Aklef, this workshop encourages students to see the world through an artistic lens, and especially to see nature through an artistic view.
Vida will guide students through the techniques and supplies needed to paint a Macaw, the skills learned in the class are transferable and usable to many other artistic endeavours, we want to empower you, the student, with the tools and skills to observe nature and paint what you observe.
Supplies will be provided.
At the end of the program students have the opportunity to submit their art to be put up in the NatureSketch Gallery.
